Charlotte Keene is a student photojournalist with a passion for documentary projects that explore ties between self expression, culture, community and queerness. Keene is a journalism senior at the University of Texas at Austin. Her protest work was published in TIME Magazine, The New York Times and The Guardian. She previously worked as a senior photographer for The Daily Texan and interned for the multimedia team at KUT & KUTX Public Media. Keene received a 2024 Award of Excellence in CPOY’s Spot News category and has had work displayed in UT’s student gallery. Outside of photojournalism, she enjoys photographing music for Afterglow ATX magazine and documenting joy among friends and family.

More than anything, she aspires to travel and to share the world’s many different stories along the way.
